Christmas Eve Festivities 2012

On Christmas Eve we baked cookies for Santa, put reindeer food outside in the grass, set out milk and cookies for Santa, and read The Night Before Christmas. I have tried to make The Night Before Christmas book special by only reading it on Christmas Eve every year. It has become something that the kids really look forward to.

Christmas at Grandma's House

We opened gifts with my parents, brother and sister-in-law, and my uncle and aunt a few days before Christmas. It was actually our Christmas Eve since we celebrated Christmas Day a day early. We had steaks and baked potato for dinner, and watched Home Alone after opening presents. It was a fun night with family!

Christmas Presents from The Kids

We are blessed with the sweetest children. Jenny and Aiden both made Jaime and I gifts this year. Jenny made hers at school, and Aiden made his at Awana.

Gingerbread Houses 2013

One of our Christmas traditions is to make gingerbread houses. We started it last year, and I hope it is something we continue every year. One year I hope to even have a gingerbread house contest - Jaime and Aiden vs. Jenny, Sophia, and I. Here are the gingerbread houses we made this year. The first few pictures are of the gingerbread house Jenny made at Girl Scouts.

Our Christmas Tree 2012

For some reason I am obsessed with making our Christmas tree as close to perfect as possible. This year is my favorite so far, but I already have a few changes/additions in mind for next year. I had planned on making a tree topper this year, but I never got around to it. There's always next year!
