Trick or Treat 2012
We had so much fun trick or treating this year! We usually go with my cousin, her husband, and their 3 sons every year. Our neighborhoods don't have many trick or treaters so we go to a neighborhood where my cousin lived before. It is really difficult to get good pictures in the dark, so I only took a couple.

Halloween Costumes 2012
This year Jenny is going to be "Frankie-Stein" from Monster High and Aiden is going to be Batman. They both had at least 5 different things they wanted to be, and then ended up choosing something completely different. Apparently they get their decision making skills from me! Haha! Sophia isn't going to wear a costume this year - she has a Halloween outfit though. I figured since she wouldn't know whether or not she had a costume, I'd just wait until next year to dress her up.
We are looking forward to Halloween! Aiden asks me everyday if it is Halloween. He and Jenny can't wait for Trick or Treating!

Pumpkin Carving 2012
Jaime and Aiden carved our pumpkin last night. Aiden loves doing things with his Daddy, especially things that involve getting messy. They sure did get messy! I was still finding pumpkin seeds in the kitchen floor this morning. To avoid getting pumpkin on the carpet, we have always carved our pumpkin sitting in the kitchen floor. The mess is much easier to clean up that way! We still have another pumpkin to carve, which we will do on Halloween. I also need to decorate Sophia's pumpkin. I don't think we're going to carve it, but I want to do something with it - I'm just not sure what yet.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween from our favorite Power Ranger! I took these pictures before we went trick-or-treating. I didn't try to take any while we were trick-or-treating as they usually don't turn out well once it gets dark. These pictures crack me up! Aiden definitely has a little personality...and attitude. Wonder where he gets that from?? Haha! Aiden really enjoyed trick-or-treating this year. We went with my cousin, her husband, and their three boys. Jenny trick-or-treated with her mom this year, which is why she isn't in any of these pictures. She was Batgirl again this year. She'll get to trick-or-treat with us next year, along with Aiden and the new baby! :)

Trunk or Treat
The day before Halloween, we went with some friends of ours to Hebron Baptist Church for their Fall Festival. Unfortunetly, I didn't get any good pictures that night because I was too busy trying to keep up with Aiden. Haha!
However, on Halloween our church had their annual Trunk or Treat that we were able to go to. It was a lot of fun! For those of you who don't know what it is, it is very similar to Trick or Treat, but instead of going door to door, you go trunk to trunk. Anyone who wants to can decorate the inside of the trunk of their car and pass out candy to kids who go from trunk to trunk in their costumes. They also had face painting, hay rides, crazy hair, nail painting, coloring, and a lot of great food!

This is the inside of my trunk. Keep in mind that this was my first year doing this, and it ended up being a last minute thing. Hence why it looks like one big mess! =)
Aiden was supposed to be Thomas the Train for Halloween, but as you can see, he refused to wear his costume. He was willing to wear the hat though, so I just dressed him in one of his Thomas the Train shirts.

The back. =)
After Trunk or Treat, we went trick or treating. Can you believe that every single picture I took of the kids going trick or treating turned out blurry!? Therefore I will not be posting them here. I guess that's what happens when you can't get your camera to charge so you have to borrow someone else's. Oh well, maybe next year! At least we'll have the memories of a wonderfull fall weekend!
Jenny's School Fall Festival
Can you believe it has already been two weeks since Halloween?? Wow! The end of this year is quickly coming to a close, and I haven't even posted about our Halloween festivities. I really need to get it together and start posting this stuff! Lucky for y'all, that's what these next few posts will be about. So, get ready, because I have several fall/Halloween posts. Which means picture overload! You may want to grab a beverage, a snack, and curl up with a blanket in front of your computer screen - this may take a while! =)
Here goes....
The Thursday before Halloween (Oct. 28th), Jenny's school had their annual Fall Festival. The money raised goes to benefit the school's PTA and of course, it's a lot of fun too! Jaime ended up having to work that night so we invited my mom to go with us. It started at 5:00pm, but we didn't end up getting there till closer to 5:30pm. There was BBQ, drinks, cotton candy, and CUPCAKES! They also had several moonwalks for the kids to play in.
Aiden and Jenny had a great time, and neither of them wanted to go home. I'm glad they enjoyed it, and I hope we can take them again next year!

Paintin' Pumpkins
Remember I told you that we let the kids each pick out a pumpkin to take home to paint? Well, we painted them this past Thursday. It worked out well, because we were able to do it during the time that dinner was cooking in the oven.
Instead of going out and buying special paint or paint brushes, I just let them use the fingerpaint that we already had. They've used the fingerpaint a few times before, but only on paper. I thought the mess was bad before, but this time it was a lot worse!

The finished product... Aiden's is on the left, and Jenny's is on the right.
