Sophia's First Cookie

Sophia tried her first arrowroot cookie earlier this week. She loved it! She made a huge mess, but I expected that.

Jenny and Aiden were a little jealous that she was getting cookies and they weren't, so I broke one in half for them to try. They both said they were pretty good. They have also both tasted her rice cereal and oatmeal before and promptly spit it out. I think they expected the cookies to taste bad too, but they were surprised that they weren't that bad. Haha!

If only Sophia had a few more teeth, then she could have tried Oreos instead!

Just kidding!!

$50 Shutterfly Gift Code Giveaway

I am so excited about having some Christmas pictures taken of the kids in a few weeks! I just love having their pictures made, and the Holiday Season is the perfect time to do it! I have been checking out the Christmas Cards on Shutterfly and I have posted a few of my favorites below! Shutterfly has a wonderful new collection this year from traditional colors and embellishments to merry and bright colors that take on a modern feel. They also feature religious/scripture based cards (including Hanukkah) and cards that you can showcase your fur babies photos on!

My family truly is a blessing! This card definitely describes the way I feel about my family, especially during the Holiday Season.

I love that this one will hold multiple pictures. Cards like these are always nice when I can't decide which pictures to use. This would also be great if you had as many kids (or maybe even more) as I do!

I really like the colors of this one. Something about the navy blue with the bright accents. I also think that the little bows above each picture are adorable!

When I choose our Christmas card, I usually like to go with a more religious card. After all, that's what the season is all about, right? I love cards with Bible verses on it, or really anything that serves as a reminder for the true reason for Christmas.

This card really caught my eye when I first saw it! The bright colors are very eye-catching. Not to mention it has a space to list the top 10 moments from the year! This is much quicker than sending a yearly letter in your Christmas card to update family and friends on the happenings of your life. Plus, in all honesty, when I receive those letters in Christmas cards that are sent to me, I just end up throwing it away. Yes, I read it, but I don't hold on to it for very long. With this card, you could keep this information for as long as you keep the card. Which, for me, can be quite some time. As a matter of fact, I still have Christmas cards that were sent to us two years ago!

I have used Shutterfly to order our family's Christmas cards for the past two years. They have always done a wonderful job, and I would definitely recommend them! Not only are their Christmas cards great, but they also have lots of other really neat things too! Their prices are good, and they almost always have Special Offers going on!

Now on to the really exciting stuff.... Shutterfly would like to give one of my readers a $50 Gift Code to help you with your holiday shopping! The code does not include shipping, and it cannot be combined with any other offers. The code expires on 12/14/12. You must purchase at least $50 or more worth of products on Shutterfly.com to be able to use the Gift Code. This giveaway is open to residents of the US. Please use the Rafflecopter widget for this giveaway. Any options that say “Leave a comment” you must leave a comment on this blog post for that entry to count. It will be verified.

Disclosure: Shutterfly provided me with the information for this post and a free gift card to their site. They are offering free product(s) to give away to a reader. I was not required to write anything positive about this company. Any expressed opinion is completely my own.

November Events at Jenny's School

This has been a very busy week! Six Flags on Sunday, the election on Tuesday (and no school), the annual Thanksgiving lunch at Jenny's school on Thursday, and today was her school's annual Fun Run. I just wanted to quickly post a few pictures from the events at school....

GirlaPalooza at Six Flags!

This past Sunday, Jenny and I went to the Girl Scout event called GirlaPalooza. In honor of the 100th year of Girl Scouts, the event was held at Six Flags Over Georgia. I bought our tickets about a month ago. It was Jenny's first time at Six Flags, and her first opportunity to ride "grown up roller coasters". I was really hoping she would ride, and I am proud to say that she did! We rode The Georgia Cyclone twice and a water ride (I can't remember the name of it) twice. She did really good!! She panicked a little the first time, but she said she liked it and asked to ride again.

There was also a performance from Lindee Link, Savvy, and Matty B. all of whom are upcoming stars, but mostly famous on YouTube for now. Jenny was very excited to meet them! She got her picture made with Lindee Link and Matty B and also got Lindee Link's autograph. She was so nervous to meet them! She said it was like meeting Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift! Haha!

Here are a few pictures from our day...

Sophia's 6 Month Photos

A few of my favorites....

Trick or Treat 2012

We had so much fun trick or treating this year! We usually go with my cousin, her husband, and their 3 sons every year. Our neighborhoods don't have many trick or treaters so we go to a neighborhood where my cousin lived before. It is really difficult to get good pictures in the dark, so I only took a couple.
