Miniature Golf

A few nights ago, Jaime and I decided to take the kids to a miniature golf place, Pirates Cove. We went last year too, and the kids enjoyed it, but Aiden mostly ran around like a crazy person the whole time. Honestly, this year was about the same way. Although I do think he enjoyed himself more, and sort of understood what we were there to do.

Last year we didn't even attempt to keep score as it was too difficult to do that and keep up with Aiden. This year, since Jenny is older, we let her keep score for us. She was so excited throughout the whole game because at every hole she would get the most points, so she thought she was winning. When we explained to her that in golf the winner is the one with the lowest score, she was a little dissappointed.

I don't remember what our scores were, but I know that Jaime won and I was a few points behind him. Jenny and Aiden tied, both having a score of 90 points. Oh well, at least they had fun - that's what matters! :)

Spring Pictures of Aiden

Over the weekend, my mom and I decided we were going to try and get a few good pictures of Aiden. I should probably tell you that Aiden was in a horrible mood, wasn't dressed for picture taking, and the whole thing was pretty much a last minute decision. Overall, I think some of the pictures turned out pretty good. We will try again soon!

He really enjoyed playing in the creek in my parents' front yard. I think for a minute he couldn't believe we were actually letting him play in it. Haha! Hopefully I will get some good pictures of him soon. Right now, since he is two, he is so hard to photograph. He doesn't always smile or look at the camera, and he definitely isn't going to be still any longer than a few seconds. Years from now when I am looking back at photos of Aiden, I will always know and remember what a joy he was at this age. Two is a hard age, but it is also a very fun age!

Yellow River Game Ranch

A few days ago, Aiden and I met up with my cousin and her kids to go to Yellow River Game Ranch. We have been a few times before, but Aiden really enjoyed it this time. I brought the stroller with us, but he walked the whole time. He thought all the birds were chickens, and anything with 4 legs was a horse or dog (depending on their size, of course).

Finger Painting Fun!

Remember all that warm weather I mentioned in my last post? Well, it's gone! After the storms we had last night, today is much cooler. It is a beautiful, sunny day - but it sure is chilly! We're hoping it will warm up some this afternoon so that we can go outside and play. But, for now, we have spent our morning inside. To keep Aiden entertained (and under control), we have been finger painting! We haven't tried finger painting in a while, and last time he wasn't crazy about it because of how messy his hands got. This time however, he loved it!

Hopefully the weather will warm up again soon, and we won't have to stay indoors any time soon. But when we do have to stay indoors, at least we'll have something fun to do!!

Fun at the Park

It was nearly 80 degrees here today! After all the rain and cooler temperatures we've had this week, it was nice to finally have a good day to play outside. The kids and I spent the morning laying around in our PJ's and playing on Jenny's new Nintendo Wii. After realizing it was way too nice outside to be indoors playing video games, we headed to the park.

As usual, the kids had a great time! Aiden runs all over the place like a wild animal, and it's difficult to get a decent picture of him. Jenny on the other hand, is all about posing and getting her picture made (as you can probably tell from these pictures)!

It is supposed to be even warmer here tomorrow, with a high of 86 degrees! Of course it is supposed to storm tomorrow night, and go back into the upper 50's on Tuesday. Boo! Oh well, we're just happy to be enjoying this beautiful weather while it lasts!
