Pictures in the Park

Yesterday, Jaime and I thought it would be a good idea to dress up the kids and take them to the park to try and get a few pictures of them. So, we got them all dressed and ready to go, and we headed to the park. We went to an area of the park that has a grassy field area and a pond. There are also a few ducks and geese in that area too.
When we first got there we thought it would be a good idea to try and get a few pictures with the water in the background. Apparently Aiden thought it was a good idea to walk right into the water. However, before he could make it out into the water, he fell into the MUD! He was covered from head to toe in mud. I was too busy trying to keep him from getting mud on Jenny that I didn't even think to take a picture of his muddy mess. All I can say is that we had to use TONS of wipes, and change his clothes.
Needless to say, we didn't try to get a whole lot of pictures of Aiden after that. Jaime took him over to the playground and I tried to get a few good pictures of Jenny.
According to the memory card, we took over 200 pictures at the park yesterday. I couldn't believe that we took so many! It definitely didn't seem like we did. Out of the 200+ pictures, there are about 10-15 that I really like. Here are a few of them....

I haven't done any editing to these photos yet, so they aren't quite finished. I am going to do some editing hopefully sometime this weekend.

We Officially Have A Kindergartener!!

Yesterday was Jenny's last day of Pre-K. Which means, she is officially a Kindergartener!! Woo-hoo! I couldn't be more proud of her. She has done so well this past year in Pre-K, and I pray that she will continue to do well.

This last week at Pre-K only lasted 3 days, but all 3 days were filled with lots of fun activities. Monday was Jenny's Field Day. They played outside all day, and she even won a First Place Medal for the Sack Race. She also brought home her 'Pony Pictures' which I will scan and post sometime this week.
Tuesday was her class' Water Day. She had to wear her bathing suit to school underneath her clothes. She had a lot of fun, and apparently she got very wet! Ha! She also came home with a 'Foot Book' that had all of the footprints of her classmates in it. Wednesday was the last day of school and it was also Pajama Day. She had to wear her pajamas to school and also bring in her favorite book. She chose to bring in a book called "Bisquit". Thank you Ninnie for providing Jenny with her favorite book! =) It's actually a really cute book, and a great read for children who are learning to read. Jenny can already read most of it on her own! Wednesday she brought home a lot of the work she's made throughout the school year that they had on the walls in the classroom. There were also a few printed pictures and some quotes of the things Jenny said throughout the school year. My favorite thing she brought home was the CD filled with pictures of her school year. It was great to get a sneak peek at all of the things she did at school this year.

Dear Jenny,

Daddy and I are sooooo proud of you!! It seems like just yesterday that you were Aiden's age, and now look at you! You've become such a big girl, and a great big sister. You are constantly amazing us with your intelligence, and making us laugh. My favorite times with you are the ones that you and I share together watching movies or baking deserts. But I also love the times with you, Aiden, and Daddy - when you make us laugh until we cry! You definitely have your Daddy's sense of humor, not to mention you look JUST like him!
We can't wait to see how well you'll do in Kindergarten. I've told you a thousand times already that I won't let you go to Kindergarten if I feel like you're not ready. So, along with you going to Pre-K, Daddy and I have tried our hardest to prepare you for Kindergarten. Of course, we can't prepare you for everything - sometimes you'll have to learn on your own. But, I know that you are ready. I know that you are a very smart little girl, with a great smile. Everyone you meet always talks about how pretty you are, and they are SO right! Jenny's Pre-K Graduation Ceremony: May 20, 2010

Here is the video I said I'd post from Jenny's Pre-K Graduation. Jaime and I are both so proud of her, and how well she did this year in Pre-K! Way to go Jenny!! I pray that you will continue to do well in school, and that God will guide you and always keep you on the right path (even though sometimes it won't always seem like the right one)!! We love you!

Jenny's Pre-K Graduation Ceremony

This past Thursday (5/20/10) was Jenny's Pre-K Graduation Ceremony. For Jaime and I, this was a very important event. Pre-K may not seem like a big deal, but for us it means a lot!

You see, Jenny did really well at school this year. She is the youngest in her class, and she is one of the better students. She is also one of the few students in the class who can tie her shoes. This year at Pre-K has really transformed Jenny. She can spell and write her name, color really well, recognize letters and number, read some small words, write words if you tell her how to spell them, and so much more! She is also a lot more confident, and she is more independent.

It's really sad to see her growing up so fast, but it's great knowing that she is learning so many new things! To know that she did so well this year makes me think that she will be successful in school. The things she does now will effect her future, and I hope that she will continue to excel in school!

Bowling & The Sprinkler

Last weekend was my cousin Andrew's 9th Birthday. Happy Birthday Andrew!! Because it was his birthday, we went out to eat at Monterrey and Cosmic Bowling on Friday night, and on Saturday we played in the sprinkler.

This was also Jenny's first time bowling. She bowled an 85, and she even beat me! Did I ever mention that I am a HORRIBLE bowler?? LOL! Anyway, we all had a great time!

Pirates Cove Mini Golf

Back in April Jaime and I took the kids to play miniature golf. We took them to a place called Pirates Cove, which is about 20 minutes from here. I can remember going to play putt-putt there as a kid! It's set up like a pirate's ship, and even has little streams, ponds, and waterfalls.

We all had a lot of fun! They even gave us a small golf club for Aiden to 'play' with. He didn't use it for hitting the ball though, he had more fun hitting everything else! Ha! Aiden mostly just ran around, and tried to play in the water. I knew Jenny was going to like it, but I didn't know she would LOVE it! She did pretty good, she probably even played better than I did. Ha! We didn't take score though, we were too busy trying to take pictures and chase Aiden around!

Afterwards, we went and ate at Panda Express. I always love eating there. There food is pretty good, and it's always very clean inside.

Easter 2010

Today was such a wonderful day for our family! I couldn't stop thinking about Jesus all day!! Unfortunetly, we didn't go to church this morning. I was up till 5am this morning with a horrible cough, and I was all out of sorts this morning. Thankfully, I am able to watch services from my church online. So, that's what Jenny and I did this morning!


They put on a play called AD33. It was about Jesus, and how he was crucified and resurrected from the grave! It was really great! I tried to find it on YouTube to upload here for you all to see, but it isn't on there. I'll keep checking, and if I find it, I'll post it here.

Jenny watched it with me, and she really liked it! Of course, she had a lot of questions to ask me once it was over. I answered them all the best I could so that she would understand. At first I wasn't so sure if she understood, but then later we went outside and THIS is what she drew....

She also drew a picture of a sad face, and a happy face. She said that the happy face was the blind man that Jesus healed, after he was healed. And the sad face was the people watching Jesus be crucified. She is so smart, and she never stops amazing me!!

The Easter Bunny came to our house this morning, and the kids were both very excited to see their baskets! They BOTH ran to them! Aiden started taking the things out of Jenny's basket, I had to show him which one was his. Ha! Here is a picture of their baskets...

Jenny got: A Spongebob book, sidewalk chalk, a pink stuffed bunny, candy, nail polish (blue, purple, and orange), bubbles, bunny ears, and a chocolate bunny.
Aiden got: A puppy book, a soccer ball, a blue stuffed bunny, candy, bath toys, bubbles, bunny ears, and a chocolate bunny.

After they looked through their baskets, ate breakfast, and we watched the online church service, I took the kids outside to play with the new stuff. That was when Jenny drew the chalk pictures. Aiden LOVED his bubbles, and even learned how to say 'bubble' today! While we were outside, Jenny pointed out two solid white butterflies that were in our backyard. She said they looked like angels. I believe that they were!
